Christian Gieraths is a photographer, from Cologne, who travels the world searching for calm beauty in the places that you would least expect. From Mumbai to suburban America, Christian’s photos remind us that there is always something beautiful in the ugly and always something ugly in the beautiful. Each photograph is notably absent of human activity, instead letting the surrounds speak for themselves – soft light, shadow, line, repeat, form, surprising colour and the feeling of stillness.
