Alexandra Segreti and Kelly Rakowski are two friends and co-creators of New Friends who met on the Internet. One lives in Philaedelphia and one lives in New York. Bonded by a love of craft and textiles they embarked on a project together, creating these little woven artworks in rainbow colours, which they sell online and to a select group of boutiques in the US. Each weaving is crafted from reused materials like candy wrappers, paper, twine, wool and string – the idea is so simple but each makes such a beautiful, unique artwork.
