After leaving university, Lynnie Zulu quickly established herself as a freelance illustrator, capturing the attention of the London fashion world with her brightly coloured, African inspired illustrations. Using inks and a heavy brushstroke style, her work has been commissioned for textile prints with fabulous results by London label Fanny & Jessy. Her mother grew up in Tanzania and despite moving to the UK, her heritage remained with her and Lynnie grew up surrounded by African art, music and culture. Her fun, bright and happy style also has a eighties graphic feel, that would look perfect emblazoned on a pair of MC-Hammer pants.
