For Melbourne-based label Kinoak, Spring/Summer 2013 – titled ‘Greenhouse’ – is about weekends in the city, the 1960s and long hot days. To set the scene designer Amie Kohane wanted her prints big, floral and almost tropical: “a floral you wanted to wear on a stinking hot day, with not much to do but kick back and relax”, she explains.
Hailing from Auckland, Amie has worked for both Karen Walker and Kate Sylvester, followed by an 8-year stint at Melbourne-based cult label P.A.M. This is the second collection for Kinoak, and we’re hoping the start of many more!
