Photojournalist Adrian Morris took this beautiful photo essay in Lake Retba (Lac Rose), Dakhar Senegal. The lake is coloured with a powerful algae that turns the water a pale pink. Senegal is the largest salt producer in West Africa. Local workers take small boats into the brackish water for six to seven hours a day to gather the salt that lines the lake in small piles for hundreds of meters.
