Monica Kim Garza’s work celebrates the female body with a sense of fun. Her bronzed full-bodied ladies are pictured on motorbikes, surfboards, sitting in bed looking at their cellphones and having tropical good times. Using bold bright colours the artist draws influence from hip-hop culture and strong female artist’s such as Frida Kahlo and Selena.
