Jackie Nickerson moves between art and fashion photography. Her photographs examine identity and the physical and psychological condition of working within a specific environment. They challenge conventional notions of making portraits and landscapes and offer a more engaged view of her subjects. Nickerson was born in Boston, USA in 1960 and divides her time between Ireland and southern Africa. Her work has been exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art, Salzburg; Palais des Beaux-Arts, Brussels; she has shot lookbooks for Kanye West, campaigns for Marni and, in particular, photographed this editorial shoot for Another Magazine S/S 2014, which we love!
