Tadanori Yokoo is a Japanese graphic designer, illustrator, printmaker and painter. Born in 1936, he began his career as a stage designer for avant garde theatre in Tokyo. In the 60s he spent time in India which developed his fascination with mysticism and psychedelia. In the 70s MoMA exhibited his work in a solo show which earned him international recognition for his art
