We’re confident that photography series ‘Comfort Zone’ will put a smile on everyone’s face! Lithuanian photographer Tadao Cern is the man behind the lens who snapped these beach goers as they slept on a public beach.
Fascinated by the way certain environments can affect people’s behaviour and inhibitions Tadao decided to capture this sentiment demonstrated by these sleeping sun lovers, spread eagle and not a care in the world. The photos have hidden faces, not by an accident, but to grant an observer with the opportunity to calmly scrutinise each and every detail without being distracted, avoiding empathy or connection between people in the photos and the observers. For Tadao, it doesn’t matter who they are – the details not only reveal their stories, but make us face ourselves as well.
